Patricia M. O’Donnell, PLA, FASLA, AICP, F.US/ICOMOS, preservation landscape architect and urban planner, founded Heritage Landscapes LLC in 1987. Her involvement in over 600 heritage-based landscape planning and implementation projects has successfully addressed preservation and renewal opportunities with innovative directions. Holding Masters degrees in landscape architecture and urban planning, Patricia has led efforts for ASLA, ICOMOS, IFLA, OurWorldHeritage and UNESCO World Heritage to advance the valued landscape cultural and natural heritage of diverse places and peoples in the USA and around the globe. She was awarded the National Trust for Historic Preservation highest honor, the Louise du Pont Crowninshield Award in 2021. Her contributions demonstrate deep commitment and bring thought leadership and professional skills to sustaining and revitalizing our shared commons.

Peter F. Viteretto, PLA, FASLA, principal, leads the Heritage Landscapes LLC office in Norwalk, CT where he has participated in award-winning projects since 1993. As a project landscape architect, Peter crafts processes that integrate compatible new design within historic settings, achieving both preservation and sustainability goals to benefit current and future generations. In addition to collaborating with clients, he shares expert preservation and construction knowledge on Norwalk’s Tree Advisory Committee and as the CT-ASLA representative on the Merritt Parkway Advisory Committee, furthering the awareness and values of landscape architecture within the community. Viteretto is honored to be in the 2021 ASLA Class of the Council of Fellows.

Gregory W. De Vries, PLA, ASLA, managing partner, guides projects through his specialized expertise in heritage stewardship throughout the US and abroad. Holding Masters degrees in landscape architecture and cultural anthropology, he equally finds meaning elevating stories embedded in all places - from the most complex to the seemingly ordinary. Beginning at Heritage Landscapes in 2004, Greg’s work activates inclusive heritage-based development, historic site rehabilitation and compliance, cultural resource conservation and management, protected area planning, nature-culture integrated design, and actionable project implementation. He serves as an Expert Member and a Vice President of the ICOMOS-IFLA International Scientific Committee of Cultural Landscapes.
