The Dirt, ASLA Recognizes Mellon Square
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The rededication of Mellon Square in Pittsburgh, The Dirt, ASLA featured two articles that celebrate the restoration and new design of this downtown green oasis. Yoshi Silverstein and Patricia M. O’Donnell, FASLA, AICP, Principal, Heritage Landscapes, LLC, contributed. This Modernist masterwork, by Simonds and Simonds Landscape Architects collaborating with Mitchell and Ritchey Architects, was dedicated in 1955 and rededicated in a public ceremony May 2014.
