Historic American Landscape Survey (HALS) Documentation

Heritage Landscapes prepared a highly detailed 600+ page Cultural Landscape Report Part 1 for Jefferson’s Academical Village at the University of Virginia, completed in 2013. As a follow-up project we worked with Mary Hughes, FASLA, Landscape Architect, UVA Office of the Architect, to reorganize that documentation for a Historic American Landscape Survey (HALS) submittal. HALS is a collaborative landscape documentation program of the ASLA, National Park Service and Library of Congress.
